Café Cats

Cats in Bloom usually has 35-40 adoptable cats in the cafe. We try to
update our site in a timely fashion, but because our cats are adopted quickly, we are a bit behind on posting new arrivals.
You will, however, meet many cats and kittens during any visit.
Please click once on any cat photo below for a short bio and their name.

Biscuit
5/30/2024
Male
Our Biscuit is warm and just a little flaky. Found as a little crumb of a kitten in Shamokin he weighed in at just under 2 pounds when he showed up all alone on a porch. The homeowner knew nothing about kittens, but knew enough to call for help. His rescuer in her rush to get him didn’t have a carrier, so Biscuit enjoyed a fun ride on the car’s dashboard on the way to his foster home. With his brown tabby coat done to a turn, this boy looks like an exotic show cat. Biscuit is playful and affectionate and loves to butter up to anyone with treats. Biscuit just graduated from our teenage area to our adults. He was “kneading” more space to spread out. He is an active guy and enjoys playtime. So stop in soon and meet our warm and soft Biscuit.

Corky
7/19/2022
Male (FIV+)
Corky is the *friendliest* guy. 🖤 Corky was left behind at a trailer park when his family moved. He was determined to continue getting love, following a woman around there who reached out to us for help. We learned Corky is FIV+ and was previously neutered. FIV isn't a death sentence. When properly introduced (as all cats should be to increase chances of harmony), they can be comingled with FIV- cats. Learn more here: https://www.fivcats.org/ Corky is our newest kitchen resident, and is loving having his pick of toys, abundant food, and all the pets after some time without any of the above. What stands out (after his endearing demeanor) is his corkscrew tail. No matter how many times you try to straighten it, It always curls back up. It was the inspiration for his name.

Hannah
4/20/2024
Female
Hannah, meaning “grace” or “favor” seems like a fitting name for this beautiful grey tabby girl.
Hannah was one of the “Amish Kits” born to a truly feral momma cat who was TNRed . As the only girl in her sibling group, Hannah learned tolerance and patience at an early age.
She is a lovely young cat who is a calm presence at Cats in Bloom.
When the more boisterous tabby gang is chasing about, Hannah politely steps aside. If another cat is being a little feisty, Hannah turns the other paw 🐾 (with claws retracted or course).
Hannah is affectionate with people but does not push herself on others. Subsequently, she is sometimes overlooked-unless you happen to see her patiently waiting by her favorite pink tower to catch your eye.
Hannah is coming into young adulthood and enjoys playtime but is content with quiet time too. If you are looking for a bit of “grace” in a feline companion-make sure to meet Hannah!

Malachi
4/24/2024
Male
Malachi is quite the entertainer with main character energy. He thinks everything is about him. With the skills of a professional athlete and the brain of a toddler, it’s never a dull moment with this guy around. Malachi would probably thrive in a high energy household with gentle kids that love playtime. Don’t want to play anymore? Fear not. Malachi will keep himself busy with a ball or his own tail. If this sounds like too much action for you, don’t worry, he loves scratches, pets, and naps just as much as playtime. He is a very toy and treat motivated boy, but when he settles down, he’ll beg for your attention. Malachi is ready to bring new life into his forever home.

Patsy

Female
Patsy Happy Birthday, Patsy Cline! 🥳 Today, our Patsy Cline celebrates her one year birthday and she can’t think of a better gift than to find her forever home. Patsy recently graduated from our teenage group to our adult area. This slightly plump black beauty was a bit shy when she came to us this past March, but has recently warmed up to everyone. Born outside to a feral mom in Sunbury, her 2 other solid black siblings got adopted shortly after coming to CIB, but Patsy is still patiently waiting. You just might “Fall to Pieces” when you meet her. 🎶 Patsy has become inquisitive and super playful. She loves playtime with wand toys and will often catch the toy in her mouth and walk away with wand following behind her. We just think you might be “Crazy” not to consider adopting our Patsy Cline.

Stormy
4/1/2024
Male
It was late one cold and rainy night in November when one of our founders was leaving CIB and thought she heard a cat in distress in the distance. She stood and waited in the night’s silence and followed the meowing over to the post office next-door. She called for the kitty and to her surprise he came running right over. She scooped him up and brought him in where it was warm and dry.
Once in his foster home Stormy was a force of nature! This long and lean young boy with handsome black tabby markings was very vocal and wanted out of his foster room immediately. He was crazy playful and would jump into the stratosphere after anything on a wand. And he loved play-stalking and wrestling with the resident cat in his foster home.
When he arrived at CIB, Stormy seemed more subdued. But just bring out a wand toy, and he will be to it in lightening speed. His feline flexibility is a wonder to watch. Our forecast is you’ll never have a dreary day with Stormy!

Toppy
4/10/2024
Female
Toppy is one of those girls who never let beauty go to her head.
She is a sweet and demure young calico cat who hasn’t a clue what all the fuss is about. Toppy was initially a little overshadowed by her long haired orange tabby brother who was quite the show stopper. Once Honey was adopted, Toppy really came into her own.
All Toppy really wants is to meet someone with a kind and gentle touch. She would happily follow her foster mom about and loved their shared lap time. Her favorite perch at Cats in Bloom is in the big side window where she can watch the day’s activities and the birds of spring return.
Toppy would likely prefer a home that isn’t overly chaotic but will quickly bond with a person or family of her own. She is unfazed by other cats but equally content in her own paws. She is just on the cusp of adulthood and enjoys her playtime too.
It’s refreshing to come across such a gorgeous gal who doesn’t have an ounce of “catitude”. (And you don’t need a dating app to meet our Toppy!💜)

Comet
1/6/2024
Female
Meet Comet-A Sweet Survivor Looking for Her Forever Home!
Just before Christmas, a young pregnant cat dashed through the snow looking for a safe place to bring her babes into the world. Her “manger” turned out to be an egg farm in Rushtown township where she gave birth to 6 beautiful kittens. Affectionately known as the “Rushtown Reindeer”-Comet raised them with love and care.
Now that all her babies have found their forever homes, it’s Comet’s turn to find a loving family of her own.
Comet is a petite, affectionate girl with a heart full of love. She’s incredibly social and enjoys being around people—often following you from room to room, chirping cheerful greetings and brushing against your legs for attention. From her favorite perch, she’ll greet you with gentle head nudges and a twinkle in her eye.
Her dark espresso tabby coat is stunning, and she has a slightly cloudy left eye from an old infection. But don’t worry—it doesn’t slow her down one bit! Her vision isn’t affected, and her good eye sparkles with curiosity and kindness.
Comet is a companion cat through and through. While she isn’t a big fan of being picked up and cuddled, she loves being near you, sitting by your side and soaking in the affection. She gets along well with other cats too, making her a great fit for multi-cat households.
If you’re looking for a loving, low-key companion with a sweet personality and a beautiful story, Comet could be the perfect match. She’s ready to leave her momma days behind and start the next chapter—with you.
